We only want the highest possible standards for ever single one our students, regardless of their experience or abilities. That’s why we’re only looking for the best of the best. We require our Instructors to hold a valid PDI or ADI driving instructor’s license issued by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) in the UK. You must have a passion for both driving and teaching.

When you need Students, it could not be easier. You simply sign into our Instructor Portal and click “Request Students”. Here you can tell us how many you need and more specifically, when. For example, I need 2 Students, one Weekday AM and one Weekend PM. Within usually 24 hours, the Students will then magically appear in your Total Drive account (which we include for free). Did we mention that they’ve already been Licence checked and have already paid us too?

When we allocate a Student to you, chances are they’ve already fully paid us, which means we’ll have the money in our accounts. When you have completed lessons, you’ll need to request the funds from us. We ask for requests to be in every Thursday for payments to be made every Friday. Once they have used up all of their credit with us, you can either take the payment from the Student directly, ask them to pay on the app, or via our website again. No chasing payments, no late payments and no stress. (By the way, we’ll also pay you for cancelations too. If the Student doesn’t give you at least 48 hours notice, we’ll charge them).

Behind the scenes, our clever systems are constantly handling leads. Our website alone receives 100s of enquiries every single week and our waiting list is growing rapidly. The way we process and sort data ensures that the data is not only quickly accessible, but clean and accurate, meaning that the clients we provide to you are committed to the sale. No cold calling for you, or chasing “leads”. We advertise on our website, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and of course, some of our instructors vehicles. We can also provide you with complimentary business cards or a QR code for your vehicle. Our waiting lists are automatically sorted into ability, drive type, personality type and area to enable us to match you with the best students for you where possible.

Whether you’re joining us as an ADI or  PDI, we aim to save you as much money as possible, but still provide you with all the tools and support necessary so you can concentrate on doing what you do best, being an awesome teacher. Don’t forget, when you qualify as an ADI you automatically  move to our ADI franchise plan which is currently £55 per week.

This is where the job really has its advantages! You can work as much or as little as you want too. As long as you look after our students that we give you, the choice is yours.

We allocate students based on both the instructors and students availabilities. As for your diary, you are free to liaise with the pupils directly and can work as much or as little as you want.

There are no lengthy contracts here! We believe that if our instructors are happy with us, they don’t need tying in to lengthy contracts. We do sometimes offer a Sponsored package for new instructors where the initial training fees are paid for by Shift, this does however come with a 3 year contract.
