STUDENTS

  1. You agree to attend your scheduled driving lesson at the appointed time and fully prepared for the lesson. You shall ensure that you are not under the influence of any substances that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, and that you have obtained sufficient rest to maintain focus during the lesson. Shift reserves the right to refuse a driving lesson or terminate a lesson should you be under the influence of alcohol or any other substances that may contravene road safety.
  2. You agree that Shift has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, harassment, or violence, whether physical or verbal, towards its staff members or driving instructors. Any violation of this policy may result in the immediate termination of your driving lesson or booking, and any lessons pre-paid at this point will be non-refundable.
  3. You agree to maintain good personal hygiene, including wearing clean and appropriate clothing and suitable footwear.
  4. You agree to take responsibility for any damage caused by you to the interior of the car during your driving lesson, excluding normal wear and tear.
  5. You agree to drive safely at all times, obeying traffic laws and signals to the best of your ability. Any damage caused due to malicious acts or reckless driving will be charged for.
  6. You agree to follow the instructions and guidance provided by your driving instructor and ask questions if you are unsure about any aspect of the lesson.
  7. You agree to inform your driving instructor of any medical or physical conditions that may affect your ability to drive safely.
  8. You agree to notify your instructor as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson, providing at least 48 hours notice.
  9. You agree to treat other students and driving instructors with respect and courtesy at all times, creating a safe and positive learning environment for everyone.

INSTRUCTORS

  1. Driving instructors at Shift are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. They shall demonstrate respect and courtesy towards their students, staff members, and other road users.
  2. Instructors shall not engage in any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse, whether physical or verbal, towards any individual.
  3. Instructors are expected to maintain proper personal hygiene and dress appropriately for their profession.
  4. Your instructor will provide you with a dual controlled vehicle, in a clean and good working condition.
  5. Instructors shall provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for their students. They shall not engage in any behavior that could distract or endanger the student or other road users.
  6. Instructors shall tailor their lessons to meet the individual needs and abilities of their students, and shall not discriminate based on age, gender, race, religion, or any other characteristic.
  7. Instructors shall maintain confidentiality with respect to all student information obtained in the course of their instruction, unless required to comply with DVSA or law enforcements.
  8. Instructors shall not engage in any activity that would create a conflict of interest or undermine the integrity of the instructional process.
  9. Instructors shall follow all laws and regulations related to driving instruction, including those related to driver qualifications, instructional methods, and vehicle safety.
  10. Instructors shall not consume alcohol or any other substance that could impair their ability to operate a vehicle safely while on duty.

Found an instructor quickly. Julie was a fantastic teacher all the way through and set me up perfectly to pass first time. Special shout out the guys in the office and to Lisa who squeezed me in for a few last minute drives before my test.

Highly recommend Shift Driving School. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Special shout out to my instructor Hassan, who taught me from scratch in just under 6 months. I had no previous driving experience at all and he talked through the steps and skills needed clearly, always supportively pushing me to be my best. Delighted to have passed at first attempt! Couldn’t have done it without the team at Swift and Hassan. Thank you!

10/10 experience learning to drive with Julie! She was patient and very lovely, she gave me the confidence I needed to pass my test. I really enjoyed each of my lessons and will miss them! I would recommend this school to anyone

I 10000000% recommend this driving school my instructor has been appsalutly amazing he had so much patience and really helped me through all my lessons then he recommend me a nervous course which really helped me as I really struggled with my nerve on my test but I finally done it and passed my test and I wouldn't have been able to do it if it wasn't for lewis so thank u sooooo much :)

I've had an absolutely fantastic experience with Shift from start to finish. I was assigned an instructor incredibly quickly after my first enquiry, and from the very first lesson to passing my test (first time with no faults!) I was supported incredibly well.

Simon helped me go from someone that had panic attacks after attempting lessons a few years ago, to being so confident behind the wheel that I have no reservations about going out and driving.

It was an absolute pleasure learning to drive with Shift and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

I had an excellent experience with Shift Driving School. My instructor, William Stanton, was professional, patient, and incredibly supportive throughout my lessons. He explained everything clearly, helped me build confidence step by step, and always made sure I understood not just how to drive, but why things are done a certain way.

Thanks to his guidance, I passed my test on the first attempt! I highly recommend Shift Driving School to anyone looking for a calm, knowledgeable, and reliable instructor.

Today I passed my test!! I've have really enjoyed my lessons with Shift! There was a little bit of a wait but now I know why. I passed first time with my instructor (I had two because my availability changed) and you can tell by the way all of the instructors are with eachother that this is just a great school. The app is really good too. Would definitely recommend Shift Driving School.

Absolutely amazing driving school! Simon was brilliant from start to finish, and I couldn’t have wished for a better instructor. I had a previous bad experience with a different driving school which left me feeling anxious and lacking in confidence, but from my very first lesson with Shift, Simon made me feel at ease and supported me all of the way through. He has such a lovely, calm manner, is suuuuuper patient, and has an amazing way of explaining things differently if you don’t quite understand or if something isn’t sticking. My work shifts changed quite a lot due to changing jobs mid-way through my lessons however Simon was so good at swapping things about in order to fit my schedule and really did whatever he could to allow me to get the most out of my lessons.

I Just passed my test first time and I owe all of my credit to Simon. Lewis also sat in for a mock test last week, and he was also amazing - super calm and made me feel really at ease. Could absolutely not recommend learning with this driving school enough, and I’m going to really miss my lessons with Simon going forward! This is such a big achievement for me and I can’t thank the driving school and Simon enough ☺️❤️
